Job Search Database Changes v1.3

Since Version 1.2.1

03/29/03

These are a few basic changes I have made since 1.2.1.  You'd think I would have made a hell of a lot more since November, but I have a job now. :)

*Added a button to take you to the Response View.

*Added a "Show All" button to show all records.  Useful after you performed a search and are showing only your search results.

*Added a "Search" button that basicaly just puts you in Find mode.

*Added a "Resume Used" field.

*Added a "CL Used" field to track what cover letter you sent for the job.

*Added a "Combination" field to note what combination of resumes, cover letters, and CVs you sent.

*Added "City" and "State" fields for the location of that job.  I never needed this since I was hunting for jobs locally.  I'll probably add "Country" to this later.

*Added a link to http://officialcitysites.org/ when you click on the word "City".

*Added a link to http://www.statelocalgov.net/ when you click on the word "State".

*Added a "Job Description Detail" view that shows you a large page with just the company, job title and a larger amount of the job description.

*Added various buttons on each view.

*NOTE:  The above just takes you to the general web site, not the specific city or state site you have in the field.  Maybe later. :)

*Added a "Job Desription" layout.  This is a fourth screen that uses the entire page to show you a job description you pasted in the "Job Description" field.

Since Version 1.2

11/22/02

These are the ever so slight changes made to the database this weekend.

*Created a “Sort by Date” script that sorts chronologically from oldest to newest and also goes to the last record of the database.

*Assigned all “Sort by Date” buttons to the new “Sort By Date” script

*Assigned “Go To Layout” command to take you to the Record view of the item clicked on when you click on Date, Company, Job Title, Applied For and Reference #  in List View.  This will now take you to that particular job in record view when you click on it.

*Assigned “Go To Layout” command to take you to the Response view of the item clicked on when you click on “Reponse?”.

*Switch “List View” and “Records View” buttons to “Go To Layout” command instead of using my own script.  Use of my own scripts here was redundant and simply unnecessary.  The command already existed.
